QuantiServ has been providing Mobile Teams since 2006. Since then, our Mobile Teams have been carrying out approximately 1,300 auxiliary engine (genset) overhauls during the voyage. Furthermore, they have been carrying out a large number of on-board installation and repair jobs, always while the vessel was in operation.
All our technicians have themselves been sailing for years, before they received additional training when they joined our Mobile Teams. This makes them ideal resources for on-board work as they …
- all hold valid seamen’s books
- are very familiar with living and working on board
- have undergone all relevant safety trainings
- hold valid US and Schengen visas
- are vaccinated against yellow fever and SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19)
They are used to work globally, to sign on and sign off from a vessel anywhere in the world. They usually work in teams, ranging from three to six technicians. The rates that we charge are very reasonable and usually they are either day-rates for the entire team, or then lump-sum prices. For Mobile Teams carrying out work during the voyage, we do not charge daily allowance, nor overtime.
We have a very good quality and health and safety track record. Several of the world’s largest ship owners trust QuantiServ to carry out the routine maintenance of their gensets, regardless of make and model and often in combination with long-term, fleet-wide agreements.
